Vermonters benefit from a multitude of resources and processes that are supplied by the state’s natural mountain ecosystems. Collectively these benefits include:

The extraordinary worth of Vermont’s mountains has not been and cannot be quantified by traditional means. When value as significant, vital resources upon which all life depends is taken into account, the importance of mountain ecosystems is evident and protecting them becomes paramount.
